SINErgy is closing

Dear friends, artists, curators, musicians, DJs and supporters,
It is with sadness and disappointment that we announce that we are closing SINErgy Project Space + Gallery, due to compounding circumstances that have made it increasingly difficult for us to operate. The most recent and most serious issues include the forfeiture of the building from its current owner to the federal government, and a burglary/robbery last weekend.
Since opening in April 2010, we’ve had the opportunity and pleasure to work with so many talented people from Philadelphia and around the world. We are incredibly grateful for each experience, and for the support and confidence so many of you have granted us. Thank you!
Inciting, the umbrella organization under which we opened SINErgy, will continue on. Though we will be focusing less on events in order to free up time for music production and our record label Great Circles, you’ll still find us involved in a variety of happenings around the city.
In the coming months you’ll find us at:
– Arts Garage on Saturday August 27th, in collaboration with the Synesthesia event
– Inciting HQ on Saturday October 8th, celebrating 5 years of Inciting, with Derek Plaslaiko
– A special event with Demdike Stare and many local visual artists on Sunday October 30th, at a large arts space. [details soon]
You can keep up with current and future events at incitingaction.com
With gratitude,
Justin & Dan
